Where do I even begin? I’ve been coming here since April 2025, and I can honestly say this team has completely changed my relationship with dental care. When I first walked through their doors, I was in pain. not just physically from neglected dental health, but emotionally, too. I felt overwhelmed, unsure of who to trust, and frankly, a little lost. But from day one, this team made me feel seen, heard, and supported. The front office staff: Amy, Iris, and Cindy? are far more than receptionists. They are the heart of this practice. They took the time to clearly explain every step of the process and were completely understanding when I brought my brother along to help me navigate the financial side of things. They never made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable, and their ability to sense and ease my nervousness meant the world to me. Lauren J., who handled my periodontal maintenance, made what could have been a stressful experience feel manageable and even educational. She explained each step with such clarity and care it felt like having a personal tutor for my dental health. Nikki and Bernadette, the dental assistants, are absolutely exceptional. Their attention to detail is unmatched. Their work ethic is outstanding. There were times I felt like other employees were rushing them, for example. If they were working on me and another employee walks in and says: "Are you done yet" or "when are you going to be done" That to me, feels like you are rushing them. I understand if they are expected to balance, but it's my appointment and i am so grateful for them. why rush the process? it's rude and unprofessional (0/5 from this experience) Bernadette and Nikki are the highest standard. if i could request them each time, i would. They also go beyond clinical care, offering emotional support and kindness that genuinely makes a difference. What truly sets them apart is their empathy, and I often found myself thinking they could double as therapists with how deeply they care. With all this, I am so grateful. And then there’s Dr. Malik. From our first meeting, he was honest and direct. He didn’t sugarcoat the condition of my dental health, but he also didn’t make me feel judged. Instead, he motivated me. I now feel committed, awake, and fully engaged in improving my oral health. Dr. Malik is incredibly thorough. Not just in his own work, but in overseeing the entire team’s efforts. Knowing that he catches and corrects even the smallest issues gives me complete confidence in my care. edit: For example: He caught sloppy work that was done on me by an assistant from my previous endo appointment. which validated my concerns about that assistant, but who am i to question a professional? all the assistant had to do was place my temporary crown w/ cement. she was juggling another patient and rushed back in after me waiting over 40 minutes. it was a rushed process. another assistant told me if it falls out to go to CVS and use the cement there. (0/5 experience from that situation) If I can give one piece to future patients is to communicate. even if you need to take notes and ask questions later. make sure you communicate with your team.

As a 25 year retired Veteran, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Malik and Niki highly enough! They truly care about you and it shows. I was ensured that my procedure was going to be done comfortably and professionally. Thank you to the team at Menifee Lakes Dental Group!
